A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Likewise, a startup is only as strong as its weakest employee. So, if you want to attract real talent to your business, Open Forum offers three tips to do just that. For example:
Consider close friends and networking events. The easiest way to find talent is to look at the friends you already have. Over the years, you?ve built friendships and trust with people that could become great employees. You know them well, what they can do and whether or not you?ll be able to work with them as part of a team. Of course, hiring your friends could result in issues later if things don?t work out, but that?s a risk you would have to be willing to take. Another route you can take is to go to startup-specific networking events and conferences. These typically attract a lot of people who are interested in working at startups.
